Amber heat warning, too hot fo r me. If you are planning to walk, bring plenty of water, something salty and something sweet and cover up. You may wish to get the bus at lunchtime. You will find the bus stop on the A287 near the junction with Pond Lane.where you cross before Frensham Great Pond. Check the bus stop for times. If there's a long wait for the Farnham bus, check the bus stop on the other side. you might be able to catch one going towards Aldershot.
Frensham Great Pond is very exposed. A little further on, the small pond has more shady areas for a picnic and there's a cafe.

As reported by Railwayman:
N=4 alighted from the set train for the Bentley to Farnham walk. The walk as far as Frensham Ponds was shaded as the weather was w=hot-sunshine-with-a-gentle-breeze. All had picnic lunches which were eaten on shaded tables adjacent to Frensham Ponds Car Park. Two bought ice creams (with flakes) at the cafe. After lunch we walked on but it was jointly agreed that the weather was too hot and that the No. 19 bus to Farnham was the best option. We had drinks at the The Mulberry adjacent to Farnham station.
