Returning on the slightly too cool 1737, after a good day out. N=5 off the train for this lovely walk, with good views and plenty of shaded woodland paths. Although hot in the sun, we mostly had a cooling breeze.
Oddly the pub was completely empty when we arrived around 1.40. Two ordered lunch and we were allowed to eat our sandwiches in the garden (don't assume that this is the norm). A few people drifted in after us, Possibly caused by something called Crow Fest, a local event.
The front 3 reached the Buxted Inn, with an hour before the train, the other two a bit later,,for a discussion on butterflies and marine disasters. Perfect day out for the weather.
