3 off the Paddington train were met by a friend who'd come from Worcester. The forecast threatened rain but the occasional dark clouds were blown away by a brisk wind from the north and not a drop landed.
Good news early on when we found the Churchill Arms at Paxford has been reroofed and will be put up for sale as a pub in December. The lady who owns the ex--church/AirBnB opposite told us that the villagers had defeated plans by a hedge fund manager to turn it into a private dwelling.
One ate in the beautiful Bakers Arms in Broad Campden while three picknicked in the garden of the ancient Quaker meeting house in the village. The diner pressed on to do the full walk while we three returned to MIM via tea and cakes at the village cafe/shop in Blockley. All felt it was worth the long journey to see the Cotswolds villages at their glorious summer best.
