It's that time of year when large swathes of the eastern section of Victoria Park are fenced off for commercial events (see https://lwug.org.uk/VPAnnexing.pdf)
This means the current gpx track through the Park won't work. However I suggest the following (possibly more interesting) work around for tonight's walk (insert after section 2 of the PDF)
Turn right onto the park road alongside the lake and at the Pavilion Cafe, follow the road as it sweeps left.
In 300 metres bear right at a park road junction to exit the west side of the park through the Royal Gate West to cross the pedestrian crossing and enter the east side of the park.
In 20 metres, leave the Park's peripheral road bearing right onto a tarmac path to reach the Burdett Coutts Memorial Drinking Fountain in 250 metres.
Continue on a path directly opposite and in 100 metres at a T junction, turn left. Curve right to follow the edge of the East Lake ignoring paths to the left.
In 300 metres at a park road turn left. Ignore the first two paths to the right and take the third path to enter the Old English Garden.
Continue through the gardens in the same direction to enter Victoria Park Orchard.
In 300 metres you will arrive at the boating lake. Turn left here and in 50 metres bear left to leave the lake and in a further 40 metres at a path junction turn left on a tarmac path.
In 60 metres you will meet a park road. Turn right here and in 250 metres turn right onto the park's peripheral road.
In 600 metres with hoarding to your right, turn left to leave the park through Gunmaker's gate and over the Three Colts Bridge and rejoin the GPX track

3 attended with the temperature still at 33°C on a breezeless golden sunny evening
Vicky Park was heaving with sun worshippers walking, jogging, cycling or just relaxing on the parched grassland.
After the park, and In a serendipitous moment the 3 of us decided to pile into a traditional east end Pub "The Albert" and later on we were joined by a forth who had just left work. After a thirst quencher, and as we set off for our homes, there was a hint of a tiny breeze perhaps alluding to the end of HW5?
