Evening Walk: Tantalizing Northern Heights of Totteridge (short circular)
Distance: Approximately 5 miles or 9 km for those more metrically minded

Train: Meet 18:30 outside the Totteridge & Whetstone Northern Line Underground Station (High Barnet Branch)
This walk explores the Northern Heights, an area of greenbelt on the northern fringes of London. It passes through woods and meadows and has a surprisingly rural feel for being on the outskirts of London. More information about the route can be found here. We will adjust the route to create a walk of about 4-5 miles or so…..
Post walk refreshies can had at the Orange Tree pub or various other establishments in Totteridge.

9 assembled at the appointed location in w=dry-mild-conditions for a wander through the greenbelt on the northern edge of London. The ground was parched and the views were grand. Our local correspondent took us down the path (or paths) less travelled...making it difficult for the late starting number n=10 to find us. Eventually, after a few calls and position sharing we reconnected by Darlands Lake -- a prominent feature on the gpx route. We then decided it was time to head to the Orange Tree pub where all but 1 stopped for a drink and/or meal. The pub was very obliging first settling us outside, then moving us inside when we realised we would be dining in the dark! A fun night out with a particularly fine looking nearly full moon!
