Short Walk 12: The Grandeur of Greenwich (Island Gardens to Greenwich)
Distance: Approximately 4.0 miles or 6.4 km for those more metrically minded
Difficulty: 2 out of 10
Meet: Island Gardens (DLR) at 18:30
Return: Greenwich mainline train, DLR or even Thames Clipper
This walk principally explores the treasures of Greenwich Park with a classic start from Island Gardens and the view across the river. It then examines various nooks and crannies of the Park.

5 gathered at Island Gardens and were met by number n=6 at the Cutty Sark and her mother who joined us briefly. We made our way along the Thames and through the parched park , enjoying the views and other points of interest under w=cloudy-and-breezy conditions. Being a Friday, it turned out the Plume of Feathers was serving food until 8.30pm, so we all enjoyed some food or drink in its charming traditional atmosphere. A fun night out!
