N=8 on this fine walk. One newish person soon dropped behind, but reconnected later in the walk. 5 had lunch at the (expensive) pub in the not quite warm enough garden. Food arrived quickly though. We didn't see the 2 picnic people again. Tea at Cowdray. The path down to the town from the castle hill is closed at the moment for safety reasons, requiring longer diversion. There is an attractive looking cafe /bar just before the bus station. Got the 1837,as the bus arrives as the 1832 is leaving.
