3 walkers (including 2 local-ish ones) started about on time, with 1 other 5 or 10 minutes behind. It was raining lightly as we made our way through the residential streets towards Barn Hill but was then raining hard on the ascent up it and for quite some time after.
Head torches were only needed though to look at the map or the directions, else the refracted light under the clouds was good enough to see paths, obstacles and views.
The late starter, despite following the text directions and therefore 'the route', somehow ended up ahead of the early starters (had they gotten l**t, by any chance?) and therefore reached the usual haunt at the end of the walk (Bombay Spice) first. All n=4 had a meal, after a walk in w=mostly-hard-rain
