Is the intention to do this walk clockwise or anticlockwise, please?

When you assemble at Beaconsfield, ask if people have any preferences. Some may have booked a pub lunch and will want to time their route to coincide with that.

The Feathers no longer serves food. Merlin’s Cave is a massive pub serving quality food with price to match, we can see their menu on their website. Three of us ate there today on Amersham circular walk. A local recommended us a Turkish restaurant called Durans’ Kitchen and The Deli (cafe) on the high street. We walked past both - looked good and Durans’ Kitchen offers 2-courses for £21.

8 people were at the station at the beginning of the walk: a further walker was seen later on. The weather began sunny and cool, but it rained for a couple of hours in the afternoon. I picnicked at Chalfont St Giles upon leaving I saw 4 people going into Merlin's Cave. As it was raining I didn't hang about but caught the 16.04 back to Marylebone. A good walk - definitely no stiles! The woods were quite tricky with GPS being helpful. Latterly I used the written instructions so,as not to get my phone wet.
