(calls Vauxhall & Clapham J), arrives Wimbledon 18.25.
W’don is also served by the District Line. Fast Return trains are
frequent.
An A road (can be avoided by a slightly longer
route along residential streets) at start and finish and in-between: Wimbledon
Common and Putney Vale. Ticketed Fireworks
are taking place from 18.45 in Wimbledon Park, which is about 1.5 km east of the
Common (see all necessary info here).
It may make sense to cut out the first 15 minutes of walking by taking a bus to
the open spaces of the Common to increase our chances of seeing the fireworks and then improvise the route to get back to civilisation
in good time.
