Being a few miles south of the Wendens Ambro walk, the landscape was familiar and in some ways suited to the overcast morning. Rain finally arrived half an hour before our lunch at noon at the excellent Fleur de Lys, Widdington. After lunch rain on and off clearing up mid afternoon on visiting the enchanting Chapel of St Helen at Wicken Bonhunt. Soon after the sun emerged, with a magnificent rainbow greeting our arrival back in Newport.
