Evening Walk - Regent's Park with Frieze Sculpture Park & Primrose Hill

Length: 5.0 km (3.1 mi)
Net Walking Time: 1 ½ hrs

Meet: Regent’s Park tube station at 18.00 hours. Regent’s Park is on the Bakerloo line in Zone 1.
Finish: Chalk Farm station, which is on the Northern line in Zone 2.

A stroll through Regent's Park, including a check on this year’s offerings of Frieze Art Fair’s Sculpture Park and along the Grand Union Canal, to then climb Primrose Hill for fine views over London.

Sunset will be at 18.21, so part of the walk will be in darkness. Come prepared!
Regent’s Park closes at 19.00, which leaves not too much time for dawdling after a good look at the sculptures.
"Primrose Hill has no usual closing times” (source: Royal Parks website).

Eat/Drink: The Princess of Wales, The Engineer or The Pembroke.

7 initially on the walk, later joined by a trickle of 3 late starters, so n=10 in w=dry weather. Just 12 sculptures on show in this Covid-ravaged smaller Frieze Sculpture Park. Everyone seemed to have found a few of them to their liking though.
In two groups on we went and only bumped into each other again at the top of Primrose Hill, which was a great vantage spot today with just a few fluffy clouds about, providing clear views of all the lit scrapers London has to offer.
We then followed the main drag through Primrose Hill to The Pembroke pub, which luckily had two tables free. Whiel our time there was marred by some loud music, everyone seemed to order food and drink.
Sloppy walk posting meant that only then we realised that Chalk Farm station still shuts at 19.00 hours these days, so we walked to Camden Town via the canal. Nice.
