Two regular irregular SWC walkers descended from the train at Bures. It was a cold but sunny day with a stiff 17 mph breeze at times. The walk was mud free - some of it probably frozen and there were no overgrown paths it being winter.
Our lunch stop was a picnic at St Mary's church at Great Henny. Unfortunately the church was closed and sealed off for repair work.
On arrival at Sudbury we headed for Gainsborough House but regrettably did not have time to visit the museum. We did have a warming cuppa in its cafe and promised ourslves a return visit.
Caught the 16.26 train to Mark's Tey to catch the onward train to London.
