Nathuram Godse: journalist, nationalist – and the man who murdered Gandhi.
This gripping play traces Godse’s life over 30 years during India’s fight for independence: from a devout follower of Gandhi, through to his radicalisation and their tragic final encounter in Delhi in 1948.
The play was first shown at National Theatre last year and had good reviews. It returns to NT this year for another season.

Several walkers have booked in Circle Row E - centre block (£20 seat)
A history lesson for all! It was clear that no matter which country one went to the school, little was taught on the Indian history.
10 walkers gathered just outside Atrium cafe for a pre-theatre social and F&B. I heard some appraises for the india food from Kerb at the UNDERSTUDY, a perfect warm up for the play about India. We met up with two others at the interval and went outside on the balcony to enjoy the fabulous lights across the Thames. The group gathered again briefly after the play to share our experience. A thought provoking play that shall resonate for some time.... n=12.
