A classic walk across Hampstead Heath taking in Parliament Hill, the
Pools and Kenwood. The grounds of Kenwood
House (on the northern boundary of the Heath and managed by
English Heritage), are closed at 20.00 according to the website (which is why we will walk the route in
reverse). The rest of the Heath is accessible at all times. Hampstead
Heath is a large ancient north London parkland managed by the
City of London Corporation.
Tea: various options.

n=6 on this walk, on an w=overcast-and-humid-with-very-rare-spittle evening.
The reverse route worked well, as we got through the Kenwood House estate before the assorted busybodies locked all gates and subsequently enjoyed the various viewpoints into the Thames Valley as well as Highgate and Hampstead Ponds.
Plenty of people about on this lovely evening, including one elec cyclist insisting on cycling down one of the few paths with 'No Cycling' written on the tarmac.
Some choice words were exchanged.
Towards the end we chose to divert from the gpx to walk past The Freemasons Arms, which is a lovely pub (despite being M&B owned). 5 dined, 1 walked on.
