Evening Walk - Frieze Sculpture Park (just opened): Regent's Park and Primrose Hill

Length: 5.0 km (3.1 mi)
Net Walking Time: 1 ½ hrs

Meet: Regent’s Park tube station at 18.30 hours. Regent’s Park is on the Bakerloo line in Zone 1.
Finish: Chalk Farm or Camden Town stations, which are on the Northern Line and in Zone 2.

A stroll through Regent's Park, including a check on this year’s offerings of Frieze Art Fair’s Sculpture Park (20 sculptures) and along the Grand Union Canal, to then climb Primrose Hill for fine views over London. Find a review here.

Regent’s Park closes at 20.00, which leaves plenty of time for dawdling after a good look at the sculptures. "Primrose Hill has no usual closing times” (source: Royal Parks website).

9 at the tube, with 1 at the sculpture making n=10 to start. W=overcast, making for a premature dusk. We lost 3 touring the sculpture,as we headed for Parliament Hill, and were down to 5 as we reached the top for the wonderful view, with all the red lights on the tall buildings and cranes. The Princess of Wales didn't have a table at which point our newcomer opted out, leaving 4 of us to eat in The Engineers. Friendly service and reasonable food before heading to Campden Town.
