When was the last time you visited Elgin Marbles? Years ago? Perhaps it is time that you are reaquainted with these magnificent sculptures before they are shipped away in a permanent exchange with Greece.
There are other permanent collections for you to see in the museum or you can visit the special exhibition 'Burma to Myanmar'. The choice is yours.

n=15 walkers attended British Museum event, one went to Burma special exibition, one other also did a guided tour of the Chinese collection, so 14 at Elgin Marbles. It was good to have some dedicated time for these marvellous sculptures. Considering how old these are, the details and craftmanship are remarkable. No wonder Lord Elgin could not leave them alone in Athens.
13 walkers then came to the pub for F&B. The pub was full and our promised booking area was taken by another large group of over 20. We resorted to 4 smaller tables with 3-4 people each. Food was good and tasty, came with choices of tapas or normal pub affairs.
The evening ended just after 9pm but I did not hear a definitive answer as to whether we should or should not return marbles to where they were taken....
