8 walkers gathered at the Crypt and enjoyed pre-ballet F&B. Food here has been elevated to a pretty high standard, and with the price tag to match, gone with soup and bread for $5.75 days... One walker came just for social (not ballet). we met two others later at Coliseum, so n=10. This was a very innovative and enjoyable production. Most of us have not been to Coliseum or seen Nutcracker for years, so it was good to come back to this grand theatre. We shall miss ENO when they move to Manchester...

Make that n=11. Having travelled back to London from my Oxford sojourn I was a bit late to join you in the Crypt, so I went direct to the Coliseum. As for the performance, the scenery and costumes were excellent and the dancing exquisite. Story telling could have been better, but I'm now being picky. At two hours in length including the twenty minute interval, the performance was not too long for the youngsters in the audience.
