Sunday walk: Lenham to Hollingbourne

Apart from the first stretch out of Lenham, this route is entirely different to the main (Lenham / Charing) walk. When you reach the North Downs Way, you follow it in the opposite direction and, after a while, descend into the plain below.

Trains

Get the 9:55 Ashford International train from Victoria arriving Lenham at 11:16.

Trains back from Hollingbourne are hourly at xx:17.

Get a return to Lenham.

Lunch:

The Ringlestone Inn, Harrietsham 01622 859900 is the recommended stop. Best to phone.

(The Blacksmiths Arms in Wormshill only opens from 4 Sundays)
