Given the impending full moon, I thought it would be nice to do this walk heading East, meaning that we should be walking into the rising moon with some nice reflections in the river. The route follows the Thames Path with lots of interesting points along the way.
There are several refreshment points along the route that we may choose to visit. Also, Woolwich has several options for post walk refreshments. More information about the route can be found here .

Four assembled at the specified start point and set off having provided a 10 minute grace...... the walk poster joined the group at the O2 having been detained by a late running social engagement at CW....making for a group of n=5 on a w=dry-but-cloudy-evening. We made good progress along the Thames with the near full moon peaking out from behind the cloud cover on a few occasions. Keen to reach Woolwich by 9pm, we opted not to stop at any of the hostelries along the way -- but did pause periodically to enjoy the atmospheric evening and some of the art works passed along the route. Arriving about 9pm as planned, we headed into the first open pub -- A Youngs in an old warehouse -- where all stopped for a drink and some for pretty tasty food... A fun evening as usual!
