I just wanted to add a wee note to Lucilla's instructions for Promming. If you don't have an account at the RAH, you'll need to set one up which you can do at https://tickets.royalalberthall.com/account/register
Then on any day you wish to "Prom", go to https://www.royalalberthall.com/ just before 10:30 am and sign on (top right silhouette)
On the left hand menu that appears click Day Promming just after 10:30 am
If no tickets are shown try refreshing the page after a minute as ticket availability is time restricted.
I Hope this is helpful and don't forget to join us on the steps of the Royal Albert Memorial (weather permitting) if you're successful!

14 walkers had a picnic at the steps of the Albert Memorial, homemade hummus & banana cake, red & white liquids, nibbles and strawberries were shared. We met three others prommers inside the RAH making it n=17 including a first timer - a record turnout and most enjoyable evening. Thanks Kate for suggesting it.

It felt so good to be back here after so long, lovely music throughout, even the European premiere by Samy Moussa. The young New Zealand-born (1986) conductor Gemma New was energetic, animated, and impressive, a upcoming star to watch.... Some of us wondered what would be like to dance to the music of The Firebird, perhaps a social event to see the ballet in future...

Additional liquids and nibbles were shared at the interval. Having escaped from thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast so far, the weather finally caught up with us. The evening ended with a downpour as we walked to the South Ken station.
