Saturday Walk: Shiplake to Henley

11.1 miles/17.7 km

The River Thames, Rotherfield Greys village, Greys Court (NT) and historic Henley.  (The early stretches along the River Thames can easily be cut out if the route is flooded.)

Trains: Take the 10:08 London Paddington to Twyford (10:37),  change to catch the 10:45 to Shiplake (10:52).  You can also get to Twyford on the Elizabeth Line (09:35 at Liverpool Street etc).

Return trains from Henley at xx:00/xx:30, also changing at Twyford.

Lunch: The Bottle & Glass Inn at Binfield Heath is an early stop.  Further on is The Maltsters Arms at Rotherfield Greys.

Henley has many places for refreshments at the end of the walk, a long-standing SWC favourite being the Chocolate Café on Thameside.
