Central London Christmas Lights Walk
Apologies for the late notice.....but things get a little crazy at this time of year.....
Meet: 18:45 in forecourt of Charing Cross Station
Length: A few miles
End: Various drop-out points
Route: Map-led by a team of our very own experts! The route will basically cover the main highlights of the London Christmas Lights -- Covent Garden, Regent's/Oxford Street, New Bond Street, Carnaby Street, a visit to Fortnum and Masons, St. Christopher's Place...... We will enjoy a drink/meal at the end.....probably in the St. Christopher's Place area.

7 assembled at the appointed place in w=cold-night-air for a fun exploration of the London Christmas lights. We started off with a visit to the tree in Trafalgar Square which looked nice (and bushier than years past) before heading towards Covent Garden, Seven Dials, Carnaby Street, Regent's Street, Fortnum & Mason's, Bond Street, South Molton Street and St. Christopher Place. Along the way, a late starter caught us up, making for n=8 in total. Five enjoyed a bite to eat at the end. A fun and festive night out! Although Monday night was not ideal -- it probably worked well to avoid the biggest crowds....The lights this year were a nice combination of new and old,,,,the details at the Fortnum & Mason's windows are particularly charming. Definitely worth an exploration for those who could not make Monday!
