Why is it called a 'free' walk?
As I recall, the term "free walk" is historic, dating from when walk directions were available either by buying books 1 or 2 or printing a "free" walk directly from the website. Nowadays we have all walk instructions available online.
n=1 on this, I hear: "I was the only person who got off the specified train and I didn't see anyone else. This is the first time this has ever happened to me on a SWC walk."
